Trinidad Triggers Rally Past Garden City Wind 17-10

July 13 2021 The Trinidad Triggers scored 14 runs over the middle innings to defeat the Garden City Wind 17-10. Garden City led 2-0 after two innings, but Trinidad moved in front with three runs in the third and broke the game open with six runs in the fourth. The Triggers added one run in the fifth, two in the sixth and five in the seventh before both teams were held scoreless in the final two innings.

Trinidad collected 16 hits, led by Matt Harrison’s three hits and four RBI. Robbie Kellerman went 3-for-5 with three runs and three RBI, while Vaughn Parker went 3-for-6 with two runs and an RBI. Yale Hughes added two hits and three RBI, including Trinidad’s only home run of the game. Jordan Gonzalez scored three runs and drove in two, and Chris Jordan contributed a double and two RBI.

Garden City finished with 15 hits in the high-scoring contest. Manuel Blanco went 3-for-6 with two runs and an RBI, while Devon Zielke also had three hits and scored once. Corey Lewis drove in two runs, and McCain Mason added two RBI. Terry Daniels had a pinch-hit double and drove in a run.

Chris Jordan earned the win for Trinidad after allowing 10 hits and six runs in five innings, with four earned runs, four walks and three strikeouts. Anthony Lee allowed two runs in one inning before Duff Steve worked three innings and gave up two runs while striking out four. Ismael De Los Santos took the loss for Garden City after surrendering nine runs on eight hits in four innings.
