August 14 2021 The Roswell Invaders defeated the Garden City Wind 7-3 after breaking open a tied game with three runs in the eighth inning and two more in the ninth. Roswell finished with eight hits and no errors while Garden City collected six hits and committed one error.
Roswell and Garden City exchanged two-run rallies in the first inning before the Wind took a 3-2 lead in the second. The Invaders pulled even with a three-run eighth and added two insurance runs in the ninth to complete the comeback. Cole Chambers went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, Hunter Hill doubled and drove in two runs, and Mike Flohr added a home run and one RBI. Jakob Schuler also contributed an RBI.
Carter Coats earned the win for Roswell with 4.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits while striking out three. Jonathan Fleckenstein recorded the save with two scoreless innings and two strikeouts. Ashton Holdridge opened for Roswell and allowed three runs in 2.2 innings. Garden City starter Reid Frase was charged with the loss after recording one out, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks.
