June 13 2025 The Garden City Wind rallied for four runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Trinidad Triggers 10-9. Garden City finished with 10 hits and one error, while Trinidad collected 14 hits but committed two errors.
Trinidad built a 7-0 lead through three innings, scoring four times in the first, twice in the second and once in the third. The Triggers added two runs in the sixth to take a 9-0 advantage, but Garden City answered with four runs in the seventh, two in the eighth and four in the ninth to complete the comeback.
Jason Rooks led the Wind with two hits, three runs and one RBI. Secundino Morales had two hits and three RBI, while Andrew Brautman contributed one hit and two RBI. Pierce Khan added two hits, one RBI and one run, and Jonathan LaCourse drove in one run.
Gleyder Abreu paced Trinidad with four hits, three runs and one RBI. Connor Huzicka went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and one RBI, while Carlos Urias and Chris Viamonte each had one hit and scored once. Daniel Rosas pitched seven innings for the Triggers, allowing five hits and four runs, one earned, with four strikeouts. Garden City used Davin Meier and Lance Koch for one scoreless inning apiece; Meier struck out two and Koch struck out one.
