Garden City Wind Pull Away From Roswell Invaders 11-5

June 16 2025 The Garden City Wind defeated the Roswell Invaders 11-5 at Joe Bauman, using a nine-hit offensive performance and scoring in six different innings. Garden City took a 2-0 lead in the first, added a run in the second and scored three more in the third to build an early 6-1 advantage. The Wind also scored once in the fifth, three times in the seventh and once in the eighth, while Roswell answered with two runs in both the seventh and eighth innings.

Jason Rooks led Garden City with two hits, three runs and three RBI, including two home runs. Jacob Talamante scored three runs while collecting two hits, two RBI and two walks. Andrew Brautman added two hits and three RBI, and Kaleb Scull contributed a hit, a run and an RBI. Garden City finished without an error, while Roswell had seven hits and committed two errors.

Tyler Cornett earned the win after allowing two hits and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking five. Davin Meier followed with 2.2 innings, allowing four runs on four hits, and Ritter Steinmann recorded the final four outs without allowing a run. Roswell starter Ira Clifton took the loss after surrendering 10 runs, nine earned, on nine hits in seven innings. Ty Murray paced the Invaders with three hits and two RBI, while Maikol Perez and Sloan Laird also drove in runs.
