June 17 2025 The Garden City Wind defeated the Roswell Invaders 15-6 at Joe Bauman, overcoming an early deficit with 16 hits and a decisive 11-run third inning. Roswell scored three times in the first and added another run in the third, but Garden City answered with its 11-run outburst to take control. The Wind added one run in the sixth, one in the seventh and two in the eighth, while Roswell scored twice in the ninth.
Jason Rooks led Garden City’s offensive attack by going 5-for-6 with three runs, six RBI and a home run. Jacob Talamante went 2-for-5 with three runs and an RBI, while Kaleb Scull, Rob Morosetti and Tobie Teke each collected two hits. Rooks also doubled, as did Andrew Brautman and Drew Woodley. Roswell’s Sebastian Velez had three hits and two RBI, and Shane Marrow hit a home run and drove in two runs.
Will Hahnfeld earned the win for Garden City after allowing six hits and four earned runs in five innings, with three walks and four strikeouts. Jeremiah Williams followed with three scoreless innings, giving up two hits and striking out three. Angel Rios took the loss for Roswell after surrendering 11 runs on eight hits in 2.2 innings.
