July 8 2025 The Alpine Cowboys held off the Garden City Wind 5-4 in a back-and-forth game. Alpine scored twice in the second inning, added two runs in the sixth and pushed across the go-ahead run in the seventh. Garden City answered with two runs in the fourth and two more in the eighth but could not complete the comeback.
James Prockish led Alpine’s offense with a home run and one RBI, while Trevor Tripoli went 2-for-4 with an RBI. James Prockish also drew two walks, and Brandon Andrews and Hunter Daymond each collected a hit and scored a run. Alpine finished with seven hits and five runs.
Garden City totaled nine hits, with Kaleb Scull and Tobie Teke collecting two hits apiece. Jason Rooks hit a two-run home run, and Dominic Enbody added two RBIs and a double. Jacob Bradley earned the win for Alpine after allowing four hits and two runs over seven innings, with one earned run, one walk and seven strikeouts. Jean Reyes worked a scoreless ninth with one strikeout to record the save, while Jeremiah Williams took the loss after six innings.
