July 19 2025 The Garden City Wind overcame a four-run deficit with a six-run seventh inning and defeated the Kansas City Hormigas 8-5. Garden City finished with seven hits and three errors, while Kansas City collected eight hits and committed one error.
Kansas City scored three times in the fourth inning and added a run in the fifth to take a 4-1 lead. The Hormigas also scored in the eighth, but Garden City answered with a run in the seventh and another in the eighth after its six-run seventh-inning outburst.
Dominic Enbody went 2-for-5 with two RBI for Garden City, while Andrew Brautman added a hit, two RBI and a run. Pierce Khan was 2-for-4 with two runs, and Kaleb Scull contributed an RBI. Anthony Castaneda led Kansas City by going 2-for-4 with two runs, and Antuan Franco had a hit and two RBI.
Max Ramirez earned the win for Garden City after pitching a scoreless inning with one strikeout. Lance Koch recorded the save with a scoreless ninth that included one strikeout. Cole Lee allowed four runs, three earned, on five hits in five innings, while Kansas City starter Jacob Bosse took the loss after allowing five runs on five hits in six innings with seven walks and four strikeouts.
