July 24 2025 The Garden City Wind scored eight runs over the first two innings and defeated the Blackwell Flycatchers 10-3. Garden City finished with 12 hits and scored three times in the first, five times in the second and twice in the seventh. Blackwell collected nine hits, scoring once in the second and twice in the fifth.
Jason Rooks led the Wind with three hits, two runs and three RBIs. Dominic Enbody added a home run, one hit, two runs and three RBIs, while Jacob Talamante, Secundino Morales and Pierce Khan each drove in a run. Andrew Brautman scored twice and reached base three times with a hit and two walks. Rooks, Enbody and Morales all homered for Garden City.
Jeremiah Williams earned the win after allowing eight hits and three earned runs in six innings. He walked two and struck out three. Seth Christiansen followed with two scoreless innings, allowing one hit while striking out six, and Lance Koch finished with a scoreless ninth that included two strikeouts.
Dawson Wedeking paced Blackwell with a home run and two RBIs, while Daniel Clark homered and drove in one run. Clark also took the loss after surrendering eight runs on eight hits in four innings, with five walks and three strikeouts. Owen Little, Emmanuel Benevidez and DJ Martin combined to allow two runs over the final four innings.
