July 26 2025 The Garden City Wind defeated the Blackwell Flycatchers 13-1 after building an early lead and adding five runs in the seventh inning. Garden City scored twice in the first, six times in the third and five more in the seventh, while Blackwell’s lone run came in the sixth. The Wind finished with 15 hits and no errors; the Flycatchers had one hit and one error.
Secundino Morales led Garden City with three hits and four RBI, including his fourth home run of the season. Jason Rooks went 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored, while Jacob Talamante added two hits and scored three times. Pierce Khan and Andrew Brautman each drove in two runs, and Rob Morosetti contributed two hits, an RBI and a stolen base.
Cutter Smith earned the win for Garden City after allowing one run on one hit in seven innings. He walked two and struck out eight. Gavin Peterson and Grant Garza each worked a scoreless inning in relief, combining for four strikeouts. Blackwell starter Markus Bracey took the loss after giving up eight runs on eight hits in three innings, with four walks and one strikeout.
