May 27 2018 The Trinidad Triggers defeated the Garden City Wind 21-6 at Central Park, collecting 20 hits in the nine-inning victory. Garden City finished with 11 hits and one error, while Trinidad committed two errors.
Trinidad took control with four runs in the first inning and erupted for eight more in the third. The Triggers added a run in the fourth and seven in the fifth before the Wind scored single runs in the seventh and eighth. Garden City’s offense also produced two runs in the fifth.
Jabari Brown led Trinidad with four hits, three runs, three RBI and two walks.
Joba Ferrell went 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBI, while
Charles Osborne added two hits, two runs and four RBI.
Rickey Ramirez had three hits, two runs and two RBI, and
Danny Molinari collected three hits and two RBI. Brown hit Trinidad’s home run.
Jose Orta earned the win after allowing seven hits and three runs, two earned, in six innings while striking out eight and walking two. Ferrell pitched the final three innings, allowing four hits and three earned runs with four strikeouts. Garden City starter
